St Mary the Virgin

Today we went into Bishop’s Stortford very early to take my car for its annual service and MOT. While that was being done we went shopping, stopping for several cups of coffee and some soup and a gluten-free roll in Sainsbury’s. Josephine is nineteen and a half and after her service passed her MOT with flying colours. I suspect that she will have to be retired at some point but no just yet.

On returning home I walked down to the village to collect our prescriptions from the pharmacy. On the way I took this picture, through the bare branches of the trees, of the village church. The rooftops look colourful, but the rest of the picture shows just what a dull and dreary day it has been.
